FURTHER GENERAL INFORMATION ON ATTENDING THE PINDER CENTRE FOR TREATMENT

• Whether you have been referred by your GP, hospital consultant, or have referred yourself, we are here to help and look after you.

• At your first visit we shall take your necessary medical details which will remain confidential. Your physiotherapist will make an initial assessment (in ‘dry land’ ie in a treatment room rather than in the pool) and discuss with you the proposed plan of treatment.

• Please bring a dressing gown with you. Pull-on shorts or loose trousers (such as tracksuit trousers) may be most comfortable for back or lower limb conditions.

• A Registered Nurse and/or Care Assistant is on duty to help you if you need extra assistance with mobility and personal care.

• Once a treatment plan is made, you will be given subsequent appointments and the receptionist will explain what you need to do next.

• Physiotherapy treatment rooms are situated upstairs and can be reached by lift or stairs.

• Changing rooms and toilet facilities are also available upstairs. Disabled toilet facilities and changing rooms are on the ground floor.
